I can’t believe I’ve been at my new job for a month. I’ve definitely been playing around with my work outfits more and getting creative with my limited business casual wardrobe.
Sweater: Target (similar here)
Skirt: Banana Republic (Ivory version)
Shoes: Macy’s
Purse: Forever 21 (similar here)
Necklace: Baublebar
Can you tell I just got off of work?
I played with patterns and textures today. The striped pattern is bold enough to pair with the smaller wool knit on the skirt. I balanced the black collar of the sweater with a large necklace, and kept my tights and shoes neutral. I was skeptical about my outfit as I was heading out the door, but the more I shamelessly looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, the more I liked it.
I am tired of wearing dark colors though. Come to me, spring!

I love the use of mixed prints and don’t worry sometimes it takes closer examination before we can see that something suits others as opposed to the occasions where we go ‘ah stuff it’ and keep our fingers crossed that it all works out alright! In this case, the outfit very definitely looks good on you!
