About a dress

I spend the better part of my day dreaming about blue skies, cool wind, vibrant flowers and me twirling around like an idiot in a nude dress and a sparkly necklace.

I have my eye on a few blush and cream options for spring.

In the nude

1. Zara Faux Leather Dress
2. American Eagle Lace Party Dress
3. TopShop Textured Seam Tunic

My skin tone is still way too light for these dresses, but as soon as my body no longer resembles a block of Philadelphia cream cheese, I am buying a nude dress.

To compliment the flirty feminine hue, a sparkly bib is a great addition to add a punch of personality and complete awesome.

Adult bib

1. Baublebar Eve Foliage Bib
2. Stella & Dot Somervell Necklace
3. Forever 21 Be Seen Iridescent Bib

Having once been an advocate for dainty necklaces and unique charms, I have been converted to statement necklaces. I can’t get enough. I want to collect them. I want to own so many that my family becomes concerned and I end up on an episode of Hoarders. Do they still air that show? I hope so, because I need help.

What pieces are you excited to wear for spring? Do you have a current obsession that may result in an intervention? Let’s start a support group.

Stupid? Cute? Stupid cute?

A lot of my favorite stores have started to introduce their spring line, and I’m excited about a lot of the pretty pastel leather dresses and rose gold sandals I’ve been seeing. But some items are confusing. I can’t decide if they’re stupid, cute, or stupid cute. As in it looks so stupid that it’s cute:

Stupid Cute - Spring

1. Jeffrey Campbell Rakel Platform Sandal
2. American Eagle Soft Pant
3. Zara Long-Sleeve Dress

To be honest, I actually really like the soft pants. I mean, c’mon, they’re called soft pants. They’re pajamas you can wear outside. Get in my closet.

I think I was most convinced by how cute they’re styled on AE’s blog.

See what I mean?

What do you think? Stupid? Cute? So stupid that it’s cute?

Pep Fiction

Raise your hand if you’re Bed Bath and Beyond done with this cold weather.

I’m patiently waiting for spring and planning out all the fantastic outfits I’ll wear once I stop needing to pile on layers of shapeless clothing to avoid hypothermia. I have a vision of incorporating fall pieces with flouncy skirts. I’ve been eyeing several leather peplum shirts as my takeaway from fall, and have been inspired by these posts (one and two) from my favorite fashion blogger.

What spring styles are you ready to wear? I haven’t even begun to imagine all the dress/jacket combinations and I’m pretty sure I’m going to restock my closet with new bright flats. Ah!
